Welcome to The Respiratory and Sleep Research Lab
The lab is at the forefront of sleep-disordered breathing and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) research. Our mission is to deepen the understanding of OSA's underlying mechanisms and to pioneer innovative approaches for its diagnosis and treatment. By employing advanced techniques and cutting-edge equipment, we aim to translate our findings into clinical practice, ultimately enhancing the health and well-being of those affected by sleep disorders.
In addition to our primary focus on OSA, we are breaking new ground in modeling respiratory disorders using human-derived organoids. This innovative approach allows us to study conditions like asthma and rare diseases such as primary ciliary dyskinesia in a controlled environment, providing invaluable insights that drive the development of more effective treatments.
Our research is generously supported by the Israel Science Foundation (ISF), the US-Israel Bi-National Science Foundation (BSF), the American Thoracic Society (ATS), the Israel Allergy and Immunology Society, the Israel Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and JOY Ventures.
